The Last of 2016

A new year is almost upon us.  So it's time to do some scrappy catch-up.  Here are the last six pages that I created this year.  These were done for Treasured Memories with new collections from BoBunny and Pink Paislee.  They were all done using sketches from Kristine Davidson's sketch books.  They really are amazing resources to have on hand.

Happy New Year and may many happy scrappy times fill your days to come.

Holiday Greetings

I've been a bad blogger this past month.  December is a busy month but in a good way.  There has been family get togethers and we have already had our turkey, eaten the leftovers and made soup!  We celebrated our Winter Solstice last weekend.  It enabled us to see everyone,  as well as free them up for spending time with the other side of the family this weekend.  It's a win win.  As well, I've been keeping up on my December Daily which I will share in the new year.  Yes, I'm behind on my posting.  I still have six LO's to share that I did last month.  All in time. :)

My real reason for popping in was to wish you all a very Merry Christmas with all of your loved ones!  I hope that Santa is good to all and that the new year brings you joy!

I'll leave you with some images from my December.

Fun times at the Butterdome Craft Fair.

At Fort Edmonton Park.  They took one look at us and crossed the road!

There was lots of baking going on this year.  Yesterday I made over 100 cookies for Rob's office.

Maggie was desperate for a spot to lay down when the house was full.

Lady is always under the tree.  She thinks I put it up for her comfort and enjoyment.

Thomas enjoying his Lego advent calendar.

Ready to open gifts!

Lisa and Steve.

Diane and Eric.

Around the table.

In the small town that Lisa works in, they put this huge tree in the middle of an intersection on the main street.  People drive around it.  They also play music at this spot 24/7.

There was also time for a quick visit to my favourite yarn shop, just around the corner from the huge tree.  ;) Bring on the knitting in January!

The view from my front door.  It's dark around 4:30 pm these days.  I love the long cosy evenings!

Merry Christmas!

Santa Visit

Someone went to visit Santa.  Yes my grand puppy, Jack, went to PetSmart to visit the big jolly guy.  So cute!

I wonder if Maggie and Lady would be up for it?  Hmmm  Would Rob be up for the humiliation?  LOL

It's Christmas Time

I've been MIA lately.  I've been busy.

The knitting needles have been clicking away knitting up nine pairs of mittens for some of the girlies at Rob's office.

I've sent out a few Christmas cards.

I've been doing some Christmas baking.

I even made gingerbread for the first time in about five years.

I had forgotten how time consuming it is!

We went to the Butterdome Craft sale.

We went for brunch at Fort Edmonton Park.

I've also been scrapping with some new goodies from Treasured Memories.  I'll be back soon to share my pages.

Hope your December is going well.

Creating With Sketches V4 Giveaway

This giveaway is now closed.

I don't know if you know this about me but I love sketches.  LOL  No news there, eh?  Well I'm excited to say that Kristine Davidson of Creative Scrappers has just completed Volume #4 of Creating With Sketches!

I was super excited to contribute a design with one of the sketches in this amazing new book.  The eBook is available today and I am so excited to be able to give one away on my blog compliments of Kristine!  Just leave me a comment and I'll do a random draw.  We'll leave it open for a week so I'll draw a name on Thursday December 1st some time after dinner.

Here's another giveaway that you can enter to double your chances!

Good luck to all.  These sketch books are such a great resource to have on hand.  They make scrapping so much more fun!

The Last Two

Here are the last two pages that I created with this month's kit from Treasured Memories.

Oh Maggie May!  How I love you even with all of your messy ways.

Here's the sketch I used from Laura Whitaker.

This was my favourite page from the kit.  I totally love this photo that Andrew took of Chantal and Thomas.  Such a great capture of a moment in time.

Here's the sketch.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Wishing you all a great day!

Before and After

I spent some time in the scrap room making it presentable once again.  How does it get away on me so?

Here's the BEFORE.  It looks like a room you would see on Hoarders.  :(

After about two hours work,  here is the AFTER.  Ahhh Much better.  Now this is an environment that I can create in.

So for the first time ever I'm jumping in on the December Daily crazy train.  Susan is along for the ride too.

I am preparing my album ahead of time and have planned a list of prompts that I will be covering.  The numbered pages will represent more the prompt than the day, unless we were doing something amazing on a specific day.  Not likely.  LOL  Next year I will do one that is more of a daily diary concept.

I'll leave you with last week's kitchen creation.  I baked a cherry pie for Susan and I to enjoy on Crafty Tuesday.  It was good.
