Everyday Eclectic

I have a LO to share today using one of the newer lines from Echo Park, "Everyday Eclectic".  I love the softness of this collection with a bit of a Studio Calico vibe.  I remembered this photo of Lisa that I had edited on PicMonkey and figured it would be the perfect fit.

I did a bit of splattering here and even some stamping too.  I finally found the chicken wire stamp!!  I had been keeping an eye out for it for about a year now.  The journaling is hidden away in a little envelope.

Here is the sketch I used from a french sketch site that I recently came upon, called Scrap Idees.  Love the paper layering in this sketch.

I'm hoping to get back to scrapping sooner rather than later.  ;)

Mo Post

Mo has been staying with me lately.  He is still my favourite muse.  What else could I hope for, a beautiful cat and brilliant fall light and foliage.

Here he is roaming around the backyard.  He loves it out there but it is not too relaxing for me.  I'm always afraid that he will hop the fence.  I figure that if I lose Diane's cat, there is no hope of me ever babysitting future grandchildren.  ;)

I came upon him sitting in my bedroom window.  The sun was shining in and I could see the bright fall leaves beyond him.  I ran and grabbed my camera.

Wishing you all some wonderful fall captures.

Inside the Studio

Hee Hee   It still makes me chuckle to refer to the scrappy room as a "studio".  I think I do it to bug Rob, along with referring to myself as an "artist".  ;)

I thought I would tour you around the studio since I plan on it being my forever studio.  Yes, I don't plan on moving again until I am an old and feeble woman and the girls have to tie me up and likely gag me too and cart me off to the home.  ;)

A Colour Challenge

I love a colour challenge.  Les Papiers de Pandore posted a terrific one yesterday.  It was fun to look through many of their collections to find the perfect paper mix.

Here's Little Thomas enjoying an apple on his back deck last spring.  He looks so grown up with his short haircut.

I'm finally starting to appreciate the value of using paper that already has a printed image on it.  I no longer run away confused, I work it into the design and make the printed image original by embellishing it!

I used this sketch by Kristine Davidson.

In My Backyard

Thought I would post a few images that I took yesterday morning in my backyard.  Fall is definitely on it's way but there is still something beautiful in these somewhat weathered and aged flowers and foliage.

Looks like someone has been nesting.  I'm hoping for a return next spring!

Makes me happy to see the girlies roaming free.

I'll leave you with a funny photo of Lady.  Since she has had some teeth extracted, her mouth seems to sit a bit croaked and shows off that one snaggle tooth even more.  Oh poor Lady.  {sigh} ;)  She is still beautiful to me.  :)

Wishing you all a beautiful fall day to enjoy.

Creative Scrappers Showcase

This month Les Papiers de Pandore is sponsoring a prize at Creative Scrappers.  The team was asked to create a LO using this sketch from last week.

Here's Sophie, the beautiful dog belonging to Lisa's boyfriend, Steve.  She is one classy girl and always looks ready for high society wearing her best tuxedo!  hee hee

If you use this sketch you can enter it in both the monthly challenge at CS and also this individual challenge to win some of these beautiful papers designed by Julie Blanc and made in France!

Happy Scrapping!!  Jen  :)

Drive By Post

Things have been busy around here as we have been setting up house.  I have to say that this nest is best.  :)  Yesterday I spent the afternoon unpacking my scrappy stuff.  It is always so much fun to reorganize things and look through it all.  It sure has me wanting to get back to creating.  Soon.  Very soon.

Today I have a LO to share that I created quite some time ago.  It went up on the Les Papiers de Pandore blog  last week.  I used the beautiful Promenons-nous collection here.

I have to say that I was some excited when Diane came over for a visit wearing this summer dress.  I knew right away that I had the perfect photo opportunity for this collection.

I used a sketch by Shimelle for this LO.

Wishing you all a wonderful day with hopefully a little time for creating.
