As strange as this may seem, this is the first time that I have ever designed with Doodlebug. How is this possible and why did I wait so long? I created two pages for Treasured Memories and totally enjoyed this vibrant collection geared towards little boys. Of course I had the perfect subject... Thomas!
I love this photo of Tom. He lost his first tooth just before getting into the bathtub. It was pretty exciting since it first became loose the month before while we were visiting in Montreal. It sure took a long time for that sucker to come out!
I used this sketch by Diane Fisher.
Next up is photos of Thomas running free in a field. Rob took these photos while we were all out exploring one day.
I used this sketch from Susan Stringfellow. If you are into sketches I encourage you to check her out here. She not only creates awesome sketches but she also creates amazing pages with them! There is a lot of inspiration to be had. :)
Back today with some pages done for Treasured Memories, using the Pink Paislee collection " C'est La Vie." I totally loved everything about this line! First up a photo of Diane and Eric on their wedding day. I think this was my favourite photograph taken that day.
Here's the sketch I used which I think is from Citrus Twist.
This next page was inspired by the String Art template that Pink Paislee has released. I opted to only do the string art on the border of the heart. I used the template to guide me through a paper pieced heart. It reminds me of crazy quilting which is the only quilting that I would ever be successful with. Random is my thing!
I didn't use a sketch for this page since the heart pretty much was the design.
These days I've been busy in the studio. With all of the goodies from the last CHA show flooding the shelves of the LSS it has been hard to not be in a scrappy kind of mood. I've completed six pages that I will be sharing very soon. But today, I played with some papers by Paige Evans. I love the happy vibe of this collection and so it seemed very fitting for scrapping a page about Lisa and Steve. They are about as relaxed and playful as any couple could possibly be. Here's a photo of them taken at Diane and Eric's wedding.
Playing with negative space, velum and shiny mirrored embellishments!
My love of circles goes on and on!
I used this sketch from Page Maps for inspiration.
Wishing you all a wonderful spring afternoon. The sun is finally shining here and I was very happy to notice a couple of Swallows hanging out at the bird house yesterday. The air has been filled with bird song and it couldn't make me happier.
